About Nadia Tyson

Nadia Tyson spent two decades as a travel and portrait photographer, and approaches her art and writing like a true documentarian: with watchful attention and professional confidence, she composes contemporary abstract paintings, photographs portraits, weddings and families and chronicles her adventures sometimes shared in magazine publications.

Having grown up in the US, Costa Rica and Sweden, she learned artwork, culture, photography, music, and more. She is constantly in motion and after having spent a total of two years globetrotting and freelancing through over fifty countries, she grew a fascination with people photography and fine art editing which inspired her to her headshot business.

She attended UCSB to study cultural anthropology and received a Master’s in teaching. Nadia currently resides in Los Angeles, CA, where she spends time with her 2-year-old, and photography to middle school students.
